I am working toward the detection and characterization of the stars and galaxies that drove the reionization of the Universe. By unlocking this period in the history of the Universe, we can confront fundamental questions about stellar evolution, galaxy formation, and the origin of supermassive black holes. Specifically, I aim to bring observations of highly redshifted radio emission from intergalactic hydrogen together with the science of the cosmos. Most of my research activities fall under three sub-themes:
- 21cm tomography, and understanding the data from radio arrays at a deep level,
- Developing hardware technologies to enable future instruments, and
- Finding creative ways to combine radio observations with complimentary probes of the Epoch of Reionization.
